Projects...

My problem is that I see amazing things when we look at examples in class. But I know that if i tried any of those ideas I would be overwhelmed and frustrated and not finish the project. I would love to do amazing things like that but I am just not that skilled. Looking at all the examples I just hear in my head "Ain't no body got time for that"

Flip Book

Here is my flip video. It is fairly simple. I did not want to choose an idea that was more then I could handle. The book was about women traveling on their own. I think when we travel places we change when we come back and we are never the same person we were when we left. Travel adds things to punctom which you apply to what you see and experience in every day life.

Appreciate

I am really beginning to appreciate animators who can sit and do this. I could not do this for a living, even if it was on the computer. I am have a difficult time just coming up with 200 simple drawings. It was really cool to open the cover of my book and see that it was signed by the author. A very pleasant surprise. I am a book fanatic and was always taught not to write in books, so it is a little weird to be doing something I have been told not to and it being art.

practice creativity

I really liked the creativity video. I always thought of creativity as something that just happens and some people are really lucky. I never thought of practicing it and getting better at it.  Deffinately something I want to try. Creativity is a very interesting concept. Creativity is defined as "the tendency to generate or recognize ideas, alternatives, or possibilities that may be useful in solving problems, communicating with others, and entertaining ourselves and others." Many people look at things the same way so we admire people who see things differently then we do. Then we get the "aaahhhhh I see it now" moment. When we finally see it the way they do, then sometimes you want to kick yourself for not seeing that way before. Creativity is amazing

Difficult...

I am having a very difficult time with this opera assignment. I watched the opera and took notes and started the paper and everything. Opera just seems repetitive. Its probably a thing you learn to focus on opera and understand it with time...
